Published Public call for taking the professional exam for tourist guides

The Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism will organize the professional exam for tourist guides in 2025 for the territory of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

With application form for taking the professional exam for tourist guides, which can be downloaded from the website of the Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism, www.fmoit.gov.ba the candidate is obliged to attach:

  1. proof that the examination fee has been paid,
  2. birth certificate,
  3. proof that he has at least a secondary vocational education,
  4. confirmation from an educational institution of active knowledge of one world language,
  5. statement (form from website).

In the procedure of conducting a professional exam for a tourist guide, the following evidence can be used as evidence according to point 4 of the educational institution's certificate of active knowledge of one world language:

  • a certificate or attestation of knowledge of a foreign language, issued by a school or other institution that deals with foreign language education, in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina or outside it,
  • the certificate of the faculty on the verification of knowledge of a foreign language, a foreign language exam passed during schooling, as well as another document from the faculty (certified copy of the registration form - indexa), which confirms the knowledge of a foreign language, i.e. passed foreign language exams,
  • a diploma or other document that confirms the acquired title or occupation that is directly related to the knowledge of a foreign language (e.g. foreign language professor, translator, etc.),
  • a diploma from a completed university or an acquired scientific title in Bosnia and Herzegovina or abroad on the basis of which it can be unequivocally determined that the same education was completed in its entirety or predominantly in a foreign language.

The application form and all documents attached to the application form as proof of fulfillment of the conditions from the Public Call must be originals or copies certified by the competent authority, not older than 6 (six) months. All documents should be submitted in one of the official languages used in Bosnia and Herzegovina, it was stated on the official website of the ministry.
