Notice on the amount of residence tax for 2026

The Tourist Board of the City of Mostar informs all accommodation service providers and tourism workers that the Government of Herzegovina-Neretva County at its 52nd session held on October 27, 2025 passed:

  • The decision on the amount of residence tax in the area of Herzegovina-Neretva County for the year 2026, and
  • Decision on the amount of the annual flat-rate amount of the residence tax in the area of Herzegovina-Neretva County for the year 2026.

According to the above decisions, starting from 1. 1. 2026., the following amounts will apply:

  • residence tax per person and overnight stay amounts to 3.00 KM,
  • The daily tourist tax for excursionists is 1.50 KM per person,
  • the annual lump sum of the residence tax for class A tourist places (Mostar, Konjic, Čapljina, Čitluk, Neum) is 65.00 KM,
  • the annual lump sum of the residence tax for class B tourist places (Jablanica, Prozor, Stolac, Ravno) is 55.00 KM.

Resident tax payers are all accommodation facilities, including hotels, motels, boarding houses, camps, rooms, apartments, holiday homes, rural and tourist households and other forms of private accommodation, regardless of whether the Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism, the relevant county ministry or local self-government units determine the categorization.

Given that the process of booking and contracting accommodation for 2026 is already underway, especially in Mostar, Neum and Čitluk, the Tourist Board of the City of Mostar invites all accommodation service providers to familiarize themselves with the new amounts of the residence tax in time. Timely harmonization of prices, calculations and payments will ensure orderly operations and accurate information of guests about the newly determined amounts of residence tax in 2026.
