Mostar is ready for the holiday magic and welcome the New Year 2026!

The City of Mostar and the Mostar Tourist Board announced the program of this year's Advent and New Year's Eve 2026 at a press conference held on Thursday, October 23rd at the City Hall.

As the chief advisor of the City of Mostar, Ines Sulić, pointed out, these manifestations are not just dates on the calendar, but an opportunity for Mostar to shine in its full warmth and beauty.

The lighting of the first Advent candle will take place on November 30 in front of the Croatian Home Herceg Stjepan Kosač, with a suitable children's program. This year's Advent moves to the plateau behind the Old Gymnasium, where 20 houses will be set up, while additional facilities will enliven Kantarevac and the promenade. Two "cute houses" will be located next to the ice rink, and the little ones will be especially delighted by Santa's house.

The evening program begins on December 12 with a concert by Goran Karan, and every evening until January 1, visitors can expect two performers and great entertainment until midnight. The musical spectacle is brought by more than 30 performers, including the Mostar tamburasi, the Grga klapa and numerous local and regional bands.

We will welcome the craziest night of the year with Saša Matić and the Trash Band, while on January 1, the New Year's Eve will be marked by Adi Šoše with Bijelo dugme & Indexi Tribute Band.

The children's program begins on December 6 with the celebration of St. Nicholas, and from December 8 to 30 there will be performances by kindergartens and schools, creative workshops, plays, mascots and animations - all in celebration of the youngest.

The coordinator for the installation of the booths, Ivana Marić, announced that the City will soon issue a public call for all interested exhibitors, no later than November 10th, while the booths will be selected according to the principle of the highest bid.

"The interest is great and we believe that Mostar will once again become the center of good fun, togetherness and holiday warmth this winter," said the organizing team.
