Description
The Old Bishop's Residence in Vukodol is a former Catholic residence in the Diocese of Mostar-Duvno, in the southwestern suburbs of Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Until March 1909, the complex served as the residence of the bishops of the Mostar-Duvno and Trebinje-Mrkan dioceses. Within this complex, the first public school and the first printing house were opened. The complex of the old Bishop's Residence has significant historical value as it represents one of the first buildings of the new generation of Christian buildings erected in Bosnia and Herzegovina after the Ottoman authorities weakened control over the construction of new religious buildings.
