Description
The Cathedral Church of the Holy Trinity in Mostar is one of the most important Orthodox churches in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is located in the very center of the city of Mostar, near the Old Bridge, which makes it one of the most recognizable symbols of Mostar.
This church has a long history, it was built in the first half of the 19th century, more precisely between 1863 and 1873. It was built in the neo-Byzantine style, which is characteristic of many Orthodox churches of that period in this region. The interior of the church is richly decorated with icons and frescoes, which represent important scenes from the Bible and Christian history.
