Description
The City Bath in Mostar was built in 1914. Most of the construction documentation bears the signature of Rudolf Tenies and the seal of his company. Some of the detailed drawings were signed by Miroslav Loose, at that time employed as the manager of the Mostar Waterworks, and active in the field of designing various new buildings and modifications of previously built facilities in Mostar and throughout Herzegovina. From the documents it can be concluded that Loos monitored and supervised the execution of the works, but doubts about independent design remain open, so in the literature Tenies is listed as a designer.
It was designed in the Art Nouveau style with extensive use of decorative elements from Islamic art.
