Description
In Mostar, the Ottomans helped build a Catholic church in 1866. The church was destroyed in the war in 1992, and in 2000, a new church of larger dimensions was built in the same place. This complex can boast of a library with 50,000 old writings, western and eastern, and it is the largest of such characteristics in all of Herzegovina. In the monastery building there is also an important collection of paintings by Italian masters from the 16th and 17th centuries, not to mention exhibits from the recent era.
