The Tourist Board of the City of Mostar invites tour guides to an education about the murals of the Street Arts Festival

The Tourist Board of the City of Mostar, in cooperation with the Rezon Association - organizers of the Street Arts Festival Mostar - organizes an educational meeting intended for tourist guides of the City of Mostar.

The educational meeting will be held in Thursday, April 16, 2026, starting at 3 p.m, and the gathering place for all those interested is the Spanish Square in Mostar.

The goal of this education is to empower local guides with relevant, accurate and inspiring information about the festival, murals and contemporary public art, so that through their work they can interpret one of the most important cultural phenomena in the region.

The education program includes the following contents:

  • thematic guided tours through key locations of murals and artistic interventions in public space,
  • insight into the history of the festival, performed works and author's portfolios of domestic and international artists,
  • understanding the cultural and artistic concept of the festival and its contribution to the contemporary identity of Mostar,
  • interactive workshops and discussions with members of the association Rezon,
  • presentation of a structured narrative for guides, with accurate information, interesting facts and recommendations for interpretation.

By participating in this program, tour guides will receive:

  • a deeper understanding of urban artistic practices as part of local identity,
  • competence for presenting murals as part of the largest open-air gallery in the region,
  • certificate of participation, as well as the “Rezon approved” certificate in the form of a digital sticker,
  • access to printed educational materials with visual and textual content for guidance.

We believe that this initiative can significantly improve the quality of the cultural offer and tourist interpretation of Mostar and further strengthen the visibility and importance of the Street Arts Festival as a unique cultural brand of our city.
