Through panels and tradition: The appearance of the City of Mostar and the Tourist Board at the fair

As part of the Mostar International Economic Fair, which will be held from April 14 to 18, 2026, the City of Mostar and the Tourist Board of the City of Mostar have prepared a rich and comprehensive program with special emphasis on thematic panels and interactive content that promote the authenticity and cultural heritage of Herzegovina.

The central part of the program will be the panels that will be held on Wednesday, April 15 in Pavilion 2. At 11:00 a.m., an international expert on sustainable development and an American writer and travel writer with a long-term focus on the Balkans and Herzegovina, Tim Clancy, will present the platform "Don't Miss Herzegovina".

Along with Clancy, the editor-in-chief of the platform, Mirna Jelčić, author, editor and content curator focused on the culture, space and life experience of Herzegovina, will also participate.

As the authors point out, "Don't Miss Herzegovina" is not a classic travel guide, but a platform that presents Herzegovina through authentic stories, people, wine, food and everyday life. The focus is not on fast tourism and lists of recommendations, but on a deeper understanding of the space, experiences and culture of life.

On the same day, from 12:00 to 15:00, a traditional embroidery and weaving workshop will be held, organized by HKUD "St. Ante - Cim" Mostar (Zlatovez section) and the Vrba Women's Association. This interactive workshop will give visitors the opportunity to get to know the basics of traditional techniques, try their hands at handwork and experience the wealth of cultural heritage firsthand.

The workshop is open to all ages and does not require previous experience, and with the professional guidance of experienced members, participants will be able to create their own first works and take a part of the tradition with them.

In the ceremonial part of the opening of the fair, which will be held on Tuesday, April 14, visitors will be welcomed at the stand of the City of Mostar and the Tourist Board by members of the HKUD "St. Ante - Cim" and the KUD Bijelo Polje, who will further enrich the atmosphere of the fair with their performance and traditional costumes.

We invite all visitors to visit the stand of the City of Mostar and the Tourist Board of the City of Mostar and participate in programs that present the richness of Herzegovinian culture, tradition and lifestyle in a contemporary and authentic way.
