Celebrating World Wine Day in Mostar with the promotion of Herzegovina's wine story

On the occasion of World Wine Day 2026, the Tourist Board of the City of Mostar, in cooperation with the Herzegovina Wine Road project managed by the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the City of Mostar, organized an event to mark this date and announced the Herzegovina Wine Road Festival, scheduled for May 28, 2026.

The gathering took place. on the new promenade in Mostar, near "TC Rondo" on Sunday 24.5. in 2026, in the period from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., where visitors enjoyed a unique combination of wine, gastronomy and authentic Herzegovinian products.

As part of the event, the exhibition stands of the Herzegovina Wine Road were presented, where Herzegovinian wineries presented their wines, while olive growers with the designation of protected geographical origin presented top-quality Herzegovinian olive oils and domestic products. A special gastronomic segment was completed by famous chefs Luka Kraljević, Miroslav Kordić and Ivana Soldo, who prepared authentic Herzegovinian dishes inspired by local traditions and ingredients for visitors.

The event was also an opportunity to highlight the significant strides made by the Herzegovina Wine Route in recent years through international networking and the promotion of Herzegovina as a serious wine and tourist destination. Today, the Herzegovina wine road is part of the prestigious European cultural route Iter Vitis, certified by the Council of Europe, it holds the title of the European Capital of Wine Dionisio 2024, while Herzegovina wines and the wine story are also presented in the famous wine museum La Cité du Vin in Bordeaux. It is precisely these international connections and joint performances that are key to the positioning of Herzegovina on the European and global wine scene.
