On Saturday, February 28, 2026, the Tourist Board of the City of Mostar hosted a delegation from TÜRSAB (Association of Turkish Travel Agencies), led by the vice president of the organization, as part of their business visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The meeting held in Mostar was an opportunity to discuss the improvement of tourism cooperation between Mostar and the Republic of Turkey, with special emphasis on the regions of Istanbul, Marmara and Yalova as significant emission markets.
During the meeting, the wider tourist offer of Mostar and its surroundings was presented, including the rich cultural and historical heritage, festivals and other manifestations, as well as the possibilities of organizing a quality and meaningful stay for different profiles of guests. Special emphasis is placed on extending the stay of tourists through the creation of attractive programs that combine accommodation, events and authentic experiences of the destination.
Representatives of Turkish travel agencies announced the delivery of specific information about the needs of their market when it comes to the organization of accommodation, festivals and other events, in order to create customized tourist packages in cooperation with local partners.
Further institutional and business cooperation was also agreed, including the organization of the reception of Mostar travel agencies in Istanbul and the Marmara region, where TÜRSAB will be the host, with the realization of B2B meetings with the aim of directly connecting tourist entities and establishing specific business arrangements.
The Tourist Board of the City of Mostar continues with the activities of international promotion of the destination, confirming its strategic orientation towards strengthening cooperation with important emission markets such as the Republic of Turkey.
