On Tuesday, September 30, 2025, in the premises of the Tourist Board of the City of Mostar, a regular coordination meeting of tourist boards operating in the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton was held.
The meeting brought together representatives of local tourist communities with the aim of exchanging information, improving mutual cooperation, and coordinating activities that contribute to strengthening the region's tourism offer.
One of the main items on the agenda was planning a joint performance at tourism fairs in 2026. Possibilities for a collective presentation of the tourist offer of the Croatian National Museum were considered, with an emphasis on common identity and resources that can additionally attract visitors from the region and abroad.
Also, the results of the summer tourist season of 2025 were analyzed, where both positive trends and challenges in the promotion and organization of tourist content were highlighted. The participants presented proposals for the improvement of promotional activities and better coordination of local initiatives in the next season.
Special attention is paid to the issue of registration and obligations of tourist entities. Significant differences were observed in the number of registered renters and in the regularity of fulfilling legal obligations, depending on the area of operation. It was concluded that it is necessary to further encourage registration and responsible business in tourism, with a note that legal entities that have not fulfilled their legal obligations for the past five years will be the subject of special activities by competent institutions.
The participants agreed that it is important that all relevant institutions - including inspection bodies at all levels of government - be actively involved in the implementation of legal measures, in order to ensure a fair and sustainable tourism practice.
The Tourist Board of the City of Mostar thanks all participants for their constructive cooperation and believes that joint activities in the future will result in even better results in the promotion of tourism and the development of the tourist offer of our region.
