Mostar in small hands: A workshop that celebrates diversity and art

As part of the cultural and educational activities, the Tourist Board of the City of Mostar organized on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, an art workshop for children entitled "All our motives" - a presentation of the cultural landscape.

The workshop was realized in cooperation with the Rezon Association, and through the combination of drawings, collages and symbolic expression,

Intended for children aged 6 to 12, the workshop is designed as a space for free expression, visual education and joint creative work. Special emphasis was placed on inclusivity - children and parents from the Down syndrome Mostar Association participated, which further promoted equality and the availability of cultural content for all children.

The leader of the workshop, Mateo Čovčić, a psychologist and member of the Rezon Association, emphasized the importance of such activities for children's development: "Our goals are multiple - encouraging children's creativity through visual exploration of local heritage, developing motor and cognitive skills through artistic expression, promoting inclusion and equal opportunities, and creating a sense of pride and connection with cultural identity. Workshops like these give children the opportunity to express themselves, connect and learn through play and art."

The creative atmosphere was also contributed by musician Marko Jakovljević and graphic designer Goran Čuljak, who supported the process of visual research with their presence and engagement. The workshop was conducted as a one-day, guided and structured activity of an open type, with an emphasis on interaction and encouraging children to freely express themselves.

The works created at the workshop will be exhibited as part of the "Summer with the Tourist Board of the City of Mostar" event on Sunday, July 27, 2025, on the plateau behind Mujaga Komadine's house.
