The International Comedy Festival "Mostarska liska" is the largest festival of this theater genre in Bosnia and Herzegovina, bringing together the best theaters from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Macedonia, Serbia, Croatia and Montenegro.

At the same time as shaping the society that shapes it, comedy is a form of invaluable social significance, primarily due to its nominal accessibility and the universality of laughter. Therefore, this festival is very important as a space for developing connective tissue in the community, through the enjoyment of theatrical art from the region, and the potential growth of the festival, and beyond. Also, the fact that this festival is directly linked to the environment in which it was created must not be ignored. Mostar's liskaluci are an anthropological phenomenon linked to this region, and are part of the tradition and a recognizable feature of the identity of the city of Mostar and its inhabitants.
