10. Mostar Run Weekend - a combination of sports, tourism and a superb atmosphere

On the occasion of the jubilee, tenth edition of the Mostar Run Weekend event, a media conference was held on Wednesday, March 18, in the City Hall of Mostar, where representatives of the organizers and partners presented the rich program of this year's edition, announced the participants and highlighted the multiple importance of the event for sports, tourism and the overall promotion of the city of Mostar.

This year, Mostar Run Weekend takes place in the period from March 20 to 22 and has already established itself as one of the largest and most significant sports and recreational events in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Year after year, it gathers an increasing number of professional and recreational runners from the country and abroad, creating a unique sports atmosphere and additionally positioning Mostar as an attractive destination for sports tourism, active vacations and a healthy lifestyle.

At the conference, the president of the Mostar Run Weekend Organizing Committee, Franjo Lovrić, representatives of the Tourist Board of the City of Mostar, the Department of Culture of the City of Mostar, the Sports Association of the City of Mostar, a representative of the MUP HNŽ - PU Mostar, as well as representatives of the companies Rolla and HT Eronet, which are also this year's general sponsors of the races, addressed the journalists. All participants emphasized the importance of the joint action of institutions and the private sector in the development of such events that go beyond the sporting character and have a strong social and economic impact.

"Mostar Run Weekend has a significant touristic and economic impact on the city of Mostar, which is confirmed by the data on the arrival of participants from as many as 58 countries and more than 3,000 guests who will make significant spending during one weekend, especially in the pre-season period," said Nikica Čerkez in front of the Tourist Board of the City of Mostar. He added that TZ has recognized the value of this event since its inception and continuously provides support for its development and improvement.

It was particularly emphasized that the importance of the Mostar Run Weekend in the tourism context is reflected in the high occupancy of accommodation capacities, as well as the increased number of visitors to catering establishments during the event.

In addition, the strong engagement of the local community, volunteers and partners additionally confirms that this event represents an example of sustainable tourism and successful cooperation of all stakeholders in creating a quality and recognizable tourist offer of the city of Mostar.

The jubilee edition of the Mostar Run Weekend will once again gather fans of sports, recreation and socializing, offering participants and visitors a unique combination of sporting challenges, natural beauty and the rich cultural heritage of Mostar, further strengthening its status as an unmissable event on the sports and tourism map of the region.
