In the joint performance of the City of Mostar and the Tourist Board of the City of Mostar, special emphasis was placed on the authenticity and preservation of cultural and historical heritage. The fair stand was profiled as a place of experience where visitors have the opportunity to get to know the traditional dress of Herzegovina, look at handicrafts and have direct interaction with the bearers of cultural heritage.<\/p>\n
Already on the first day of the fair, as part of the ceremonial opening, special attention was drawn to the members of HKUD "St. Ante - Cim" and KUD Bijelo Polje from Mostar, whose performances and traditional costumes contributed to the authentic atmosphere and recognizable visual identity of the stand.<\/p>\n
The central part of the current program was realized on Wednesday, April 15 in Pavilion 2, where a thematic panel dedicated to contemporary approaches to the promotion of the destination was held. The "Don't Miss Herzegovina" platform was presented, which was presented by an international expert on sustainable development and an American writer and travel writer with a long-term focus on the Balkans and Herzegovina, Tim Clancy. Mirna Jel\u010di\u0107, author, editor and content curator, also participated with him.<\/p>\n
The "Don't Miss Herzegovina" platform aroused considerable interest from the audience as an innovative concept that goes beyond classic tourist guides. Instead of standard recommendations, the platform interprets Herzegovina through authentic stories, people, wine, gastronomy and everyday life, with an emphasis on a deeper understanding of the space and culture of living.<\/p>\n
On the same day, an interactive workshop of traditional embroidery and weaving was held, organized by HKUD "St. Ante - Cim" Mostar (Zlatovez section) and the Vrba Women's Association. The workshop attracted a large number of visitors of all ages, who had the opportunity to learn the basic techniques of handwork, participate in the creation of their own works, and experience first-hand the wealth of intangible cultural heritage.<\/p>\n
Through all the activities so far, it has been confirmed that tradition and cultural heritage can be successfully integrated into contemporary tourist trends, especially through digital platforms like "Don't Miss Herzegovina", which offer a new way of interpreting the destination and additionally contribute to its visibility.<\/p>\n
The International Trade Fair Mostar 2026 continues today and tomorrow, and the stand of the City of Mostar and the Tourist Board of the City of Mostar is still open to all visitors who want to experience a combination of tradition, identity and a modern approach to the presentation of Herzegovina.<\/p>\n
