World travel journalists in Mostar: Beauty, history and tastes that captivate

The Tourist Board of the City of Mostar hosted a group of distinguished travel journalists from seven countries, members of the World Federation of Travel Journalists and Writers (FIJET). As part of a multi-day study visit to Herzegovina, journalists from Croatia, Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, Tunisia, Egypt and Morocco stayed in Mostar, where they had the opportunity to get acquainted with the rich cultural and historical heritage, authentic gastronomy and tourist offer of this region.

The historical sights of Mostar, as well as the natural beauty, left a special impression, which is why the guests expressed great satisfaction with the visit and expressed interest in coming again.

During the visit, the journalists had the opportunity to watch live the traditional jump from the Old Bridge, which was organized by the Tourist Board of the City of Mostar in cooperation with the Diving Club "Mostari", which further complemented the experience of Mostar's heritage and adrenaline tradition.

This visit is part of a wider program of touring Herzegovina, which culminated in the ceremonial awarding of the prestigious international Golden Apple Award to the City of Ljubuško on Friday, June 6, 2025. The award, given by FIJET, recognizes destinations with an exceptional contribution to the development and promotion of tourism and is often referred to as the "Oscar of tourism" due to its reputation.

Among the previous winners of the Golden Apple are destinations such as Rovinj and Opatija in Croatia, Luxor in Egypt, Izmir in Turkey, Timisoara in Romania and Palermo in Italy.

The Tourist Board of the City of Mostar thanks the representatives of FIJET for their visit and believes that this study tour will result in significant promotion of Mostar and the region on the world tourist market.
