4th day of the fair: How artists shape Mostar

On the fourth day of the International Economic Fair, the Tourist Board of Mostar and the City of Mostar gathered organizations and individuals who, through various forms of art and culture - from fine arts, photography and music, to theater and gastronomic festivals - contribute to the creation of the unique cultural identity of Mostar.

At the panel discussion "How Art Shapes Mostar", Mostar artists shared their opinions on the development of tourism through their own activities. The topic of the discussion was the role of art in shaping the image of the city, its influence on young people, tourism, and the potential and challenges faced by artistic initiatives.

"This is a special story and a beautiful postcard from Mostar, because apart from the rich cultural heritage and historical heritage, people can see the other side and the urban culture that we have throughout the city." I don't know of any other city that has a street like that of Aleksa Šantić, which is like an open-air gallery," said Marina Đapić from the Rezon Association, stressing that the Street Art Festival is aimed at multiculturalism from the very beginning because they believe that the synergy of diversity gives a wind at the back.

Photo Club Mostar gathers enthusiasts and professionals in the field of photography and actively contributes to the visual promotion of the city. Their works tell stories about Mostar through a lens, preserving memories and creating new perspectives.

"We gathered first and foremost as lovers of photography and everything that photography entails, which can also help in promoting the city of Mostar. We followed a large number of events held in Mostar and through various activities we became a serious platform," said Svetislav Cvetković on behalf of this club.

The organizers of the MOBA Food Festival and Mostar Summer Fest, which for years gather thousands of visitors, brought energy and urban spirit to the city, and created a stage for local and regional performers.

Orhan Maslo Oha, an artist and cultural activist whose work is recognized in the country and abroad and who, through music and socially engaged projects, connects creativity with social changes and community development, shared his experiences and work in the pavilion of the 2nd Fair in Mostar, at the stand of the Tourist Board of the City of Mostar and the City of Mostar.

After an interesting panel discussion, visitors had the opportunity to witness the creation of a mural by the artist Karla Ćosić on behalf of the Rezon Association. The last day of the fair, Saturday, April 12, will be an opportunity for a final get-together, gathering impressions and sharing experiences.
